This week the kindergarteners choose a character, setting and problem inspired by all of the Eric Carle stories we have been reading. For this unit, we always have students dictate us their stories and we type them. With so many students this year, I recruited the help of the 6th graders. They spent 30 minutes this morning telling their story to their 6th grade partner while they typed it. The 6th grade partner was responsible for guiding the kindergartener to make sure their story had all of the story parts and hopefully had a repeating line just like Eric Carle's books!
