We made it! The longest stretch of the school year is behind us! Please check your child's folder tonight. I passed back a lot of work from the past few weeks so they are very full.
Today we did lots of Thanksgiving themed activities. During snack time we all sat around our "Thanksgiving table" and told one thing that we are thankful for. I was really impressed at how genuine the students shares were.
Later in the day we turned what they were thankful for into a new classbook.
During math time, the students played Roll a Turkey. It is a great game that you can play at home. All you need is the Roll a Turkey paper your child is bringing home in their folder today, a dice and a piece of paper.
On the back side you will find a different version of Roll a Turkey where students can use 2 dice and add the dot together. We ran out of time to play this version this afternoon so I would encourage you to try it at home.
Lastly, please check out the flyer below. One of the Mrs. Boucher's 4th grade class is collecting gifts for Operation Firecuffs.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving and I look forward to seeing the students again on December 2nd!
