Dear Families,
I wanted to take a moment to tell you a little bit about myself and my family. I live in Johnson with my husband, Alan and our three children. Together we own and operate a construction company called Better Construction, LLC and are in the process of building a sugarhouse for our family’s sugaring operation. Our oldest child, Aliza, is 10 years old and going into 5th grade. Our twins, Austin and Bailey are 7 years old and entering 2nd grade. Also in our family are our 2 dogs, Hunter and Willow. In our spare time we love to play softball.
This will be my 13th year teaching at Cambridge Elementary School. As a child, I grew up in Jeffersonville and attended Cambridge Elementary School. I am so happy and grateful to be teaching at the school I attended.
Being a parent and teacher is challenging. I face the same challenges all of you do with getting children up and out the door in the morning as well as balancing homework, extracurricular activities, dinner and getting them to bed at a decent time. It’s...not...easy! I truly believe that parents know their children best. If at anytime this year you have any questions or concerns please contact me. I am happy to work with you to help make this year the best it can be for your child and your family.
Lastly, I wanted you all to know that with three kids, I have appointments and family commitments from time to time. I do my very best to schedule appointments to be as least intrusive as possible to my responsibilities as a teacher. I also know that you are all parents and understand that we will do our best to provide our children with what they need to thrive. Thank you for understanding in advance! I look forward to getting to know your child and your family this year!
